Buyers FAQ
Free inspection, one free cleaned file with download, and Pro at $14.99 per year.
What can I do free, and do I need a card?
Inspect detected metadata before creating an account or paying. Create a free account to clean and download one file free — once per account, with no card required. The free trial supports files up to 10MB. Prior successful free cleanings count toward this lifetime limit; signing in again does not reset it. Network anti-abuse limits also apply.
When is my free trial used?
Your trial is used only when cleaning succeeds. Failed validation or cleaning does not use it, so you can retry. You can download the same result again while it remains available. A second distinct file requires a paid plan; simultaneous requests do not provide extra free files.
What is the difference between free and Pro?
Free includes metadata inspection and one successfully cleaned file with download, up to 10MB. Pro lets you clean and download more files, supports files up to 50MB and batches of up to 20 files, and includes metadata replacement, deep PDF mode, JPEG re-encode, and audit history. Pro does not include API access. Existing paid customers keep their original plans and benefits.
How much does Pro cost, and does it renew automatically?
Pro costs USD $14.99 billed annually, not monthly. It automatically renews each year until canceled. No card is required for the free trial, and creating a free account does not start a paid subscription.
How do I stop annual renewal?
Cancel from your account before the next renewal to stop future charges. Standard cancellation keeps access through the end of your paid period and does not itself issue a refund.
Can I request a refund?
Request a refund from your account or contact support. The latest paid, unrefunded charge qualifies for an automatic refund when it is no more than 7 days old and you have never received an automatic refund before. Other requests go to support for review, rather than being automatically denied. An automatic refund immediately cancels active subscriptions and ends paid access.
What happens to my files and metadata?
Uploads and downloads use HTTPS, and downloads use short-lived signed links. Uploaded and cleaned files become eligible for deletion 24 hours after upload; an hourly cleanup job removes them on its next pass. Audit records, including file names and detected or removed metadata, remain in your account history. Only upload content you are authorized to share. See the Privacy Policy for full data-handling details.
Does cleaning guarantee that every trace is removed?
No. Removal depends on the format and metadata present. Review the before-and-after report for remaining fields. Metadata cleaning is not document redaction: private information visible in the content may remain. Metadata can be edited or missing, so it is a clue about who made a file, not proof of authorship.
